Highly Sensitive Person/Empath
Online Therapy in Texas
*Accepting new clients for telehealth sessions*
Have you ever been told you’re “too sensitive”? Do you often feel overwhelmed in situations that don’t seem to affect others the same way? Some days, the world may feel too loud, too fast—just too much. This can lead to anxious thoughts, emotional overload, and a constant undercurrent of self-doubt. If this resonates, you might be a highly sensitive person (HSP) with sensory processing sensitivity.
As a highly sensitive person myself, I deeply understand the challenges—and the unique strengths—that come with this trait. Learning how to work with sensitivity can open up a more peaceful and empowered way of living.
As your counselor, my intention is to create a compassionate space where we can explore your inner world—your thoughts, values, and physical responses to stress—with care and curiosity. A place to pause, reflect, and gently reconnect with yourself.
I’m passionate about supporting highly sensitive individuals because I believe in the healing power of being truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll navigate the tangle, uncover clarity, and nurture your growth at a pace that feels right for you.
I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. The first step is often the hardest—I’m here to make it easier.

Dawn Seright, LCSW
Beginning therapy can feel like stepping into a dense forest—uncertain or maybe overwhelming. I offer a grounded, trusting environment—like a clearing in the woods—where you can catch your breath, sort through what’s weighing on you, and reconnect with your inner compass. Within that stillness, there’s space to slow down, listen, and begin finding your own path.
My approach
Some of us move through the world like tuning forks—picking up on subtle shifts, feeling deeply, and sensing what others often miss.
For a long time, I didn’t understand why the world felt so loud, so fast, or so overwhelming. I grew up navigating sensory overload and anxiety—without the words to explain what I was experiencing. I was often labeled “too sensitive,” and for a while, I believed that meant I was somehow “too much.”
Learning about high sensitivity as a neurodiverse trait, I began to see myself differently. What once felt like a burden started to feel like a gift: the ability to feel beauty deeply, connect with others meaningfully, and notice nuance in the world around me.
As a therapist, I bring this understanding into the room. I offer a grounded, compassionate space where sensitivity is not something to fix, but something to explore, understand, and care for.
My approach is collaborative and holistic, recognizing that healing involves our physical, mental, and emotional experiences. We can work together to understand the thoughts and emotions that make you feel stuck in the same patterns.
In our first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy and create a path forward. Maybe you’re not sure if you’re an HSP, but you relate to many of these experiences. That’s okay. Sensitivity exists on a spectrum, like many aspects of identity. Whether you're just beginning to explore this part of yourself or you’ve known it for years, I’m here to support you in making sense of it—with compassion, clarity, and care.
